Koya Narumi, Ph.D.(鳴海紘也, なるみこうや)is a project assistant professor(a.k.a. project lecturer, 特任講師)in Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.
His research interests are in the crossing domain of human-computer interaction, digital fabrication, soft robotics, and materials science, where he has especially been working on shape-changing interfaces and computational fabrication leveraging novel materials and structure. His research goal is to give life to everyday objects around us to make them autonomously harmonized with human and environments. He is also working for JST ACT-I, JST ERATO UIN project, and RIISE, The University of Tokyo. He is working as a technical advisor for ZOZO Technologies and Synflux.
He received his Ph.D. in 2020, M.E. in 2017, and B.E. in 2015 from The University of Tokyo, respectively. He is a member of ACM and IEEE.
